From June 2022 through October 2024, I was one of two engineers responsible for Swerv's production embedded-finance platform. The scope crossed customer and partner interfaces, Go and NestJS services, public APIs, cloud infrastructure, partner tooling, and the consumer application.
Financial infrastructure
I helped deliver payments, virtual accounts and cards, wallets, KYC, transaction history, and reconciliation workflows. The REST APIs were used by nearly 20 partner businesses, and the platform integrated multiple financial providers behind a product surface that partners could rely on.
Reliable partner operations
Partner webhooks and OAuth flows connected external businesses to the platform. Asynq and Redis powered background, retry, and scheduled jobs so important financial work did not depend on a single synchronous request.
Product reach
The consumer Flutter app reached approximately 100,000 combined downloads across iOS and Android. I also worked across AWS and GCP to keep the services and delivery infrastructure behind those experiences running in production.
Swerv made reliability concrete: the API contract, a retry policy, a reconciliation path, and an understandable customer state are all part of the product.
